The Egyptian Minister of Culture, Farouq Hosni, issued Decree 494/2005 setting up a new board of directors for GEBO, as follows :
* Professor Doctor Nasser El Ansary Mahmoud Younis El Ansary, Chairman.
And the following members :
* Farouq Abdul-Salam, Director of the Minister of Culture's Office.
* Dr. Wahid Abdul-Magid, Deputy Chairman of the GEBO Board of Directors.
* Ahmad Abdul-Mu'ti, Permanent Under-Secretary, Head of the Books Sector, the Ministry of Education.
* Professor Dr. Ahmad Baha‘ al-Din Khayri, Permanent Under- Secretary for Cultural Affairs and Foreign Scholarships, at the Ministry of Higher Education.
* Engineer Sabiq Ibrahim Abdul-Ghani, Head of the Provincial Directorates, Ministry of Awqaf (Religious Endowments).
* Gamal Muhamad Abdul-Fattah al-Sha'ir, Deputy Head of the Nile TV Cultural
Channel, at the Specialized Nile TV Channels in the Ministry of Information, and Chairman of the Specialized Fatwa Commission, at The State Council.
Under-Secretaries at GEBO
* Mamdouh Aboul-Futuh Omar Sha'at, Head of the Central Administration for Financial and Administrative Affairs, GEBO.
